Work&Co equips its Dunkerque coworking space with B Corp-certified pods

The context

In Dunkerque, Work&Co runs a coworking space of nearly 2,000 sqm, designed for comfort and productivity. It's a lively space, where the range of uses calls for constant rigor and innovation in the working conditions on offer.

Until now, custom-built wooden structures served as pods at Work&Co. But the insulation and acoustics remained imperfect, and quickly showed their limits against the intensity of coworking life.

The need

The need to improve client wellbeing and offer alternatives to traditional meeting rooms quickly became clear. In early 2026, Work&Co starts looking into the acoustic pod solutions available on the market. For the team, the challenge is twofold. First, let each person truly step away for their meetings, without ambient noise disrupting the conversation, while also giving them a confidential space. Second, guarantee an environment suited to focus and productivity: effective ventilation, controlled acoustics, a neutral design.

Choosing sustainability

Exploring the options available, the Work&Co team settles on Work With Island. The B Corp certification makes the difference. It remains rare in the sector: Work With Island is, to date, the only acoustic pod manufacturer worldwide to hold it, with 90% French-sourced materials inside the pods and 50% recycled materials. A way to meet the need for isolation without compromising on the environmental impact of the final product.

The choice of Work With Island is confirmed on the technical side too. The pods are Class A certified, a demanding standard that guarantees the quality of the acoustic insulation. The air renews every 15 seconds inside, which makes a concrete difference for a multi-hour meeting in an enclosed space.

Setting up: a Solo and a Quattro

Since spring 2026, two new pods have joined the coworking space in Dunkerque: an Island Solo, designed for calls that need quiet and focus, alongside an Island Quattro renamed "La Bulle" by the Work&Co team, which seats between two and four people. This one comes with a screen for interviews, team briefs, or group video calls.
