The context
Riot protects thousands of companies from hackers. This French scale-up runs the first platform that tracks employee exposure to cyber risk in real time. A Series B raise in early 2025 set off a new phase of growth, and the team grew right along with it. By November 2025, hiring at a pace of 10 people a month, headcount reached 120. Growth like that puts pressure on any workspace, no matter how well it was planned in the first place.
A move became the obvious next step, with teams arriving at the new offices in March 2026. It was more than a change of address: it was a chance to rethink the whole layout, with one goal in mind, keeping people comfortable as the company keeps scaling.
The need
At Riot, being together in the office is part of the company's DNA. Under an office-first policy, people are in almost every day.
The challenge was keeping that shared, open-plan energy while still giving teams a way to step away when the job requires it. Watching over other people's security means confidential conversations, and confidential conversations need their own space.
Why Work With Island
Ahead of the move, so everything would be ready the moment teams arrived in March 2026, Riot installed three Island Desk and two Island Quattro pods in the new offices. A habit formed fast: people started using the pods not to spend the whole day in, but for a call, a more sensitive video meeting, or a few minutes to focus. A booking system now keeps things running smoothly across teams.
The pods sit alongside the existing meeting rooms, and people simply pick what fits: a Solo pod to work alone, a Quattro for a conversation between two or three, a meeting room for bigger groups. That mix means there's always a space free, whatever the situation.
Getting set up: from order to installation
From choosing the pods to setting them up, working with Work With Island was smooth from start to finish. The pods arrived in under twenty days, delivery and assembly included, right on the rhythm of the move and everything else Riot had going on. Today, with 160 employees and still growing, the 5 pods are simply part of how Riot's teams work.
